Love the analysis, love the visuals (and the R code articles to generate some of them when they up too). Got more than I bargained for looking up what wiki feet was though.
Great post, your data viz and analysis are miles (or at least big feet) ahead of the competition. I think the difference between SGA and other helio guys is the Thunder’s propensity for getting buckets off of turnovers. Harden, Trae and Luka all were much more plodding half court guys, whereas the Thunder feast in transition which mitigates the effects of helio ball. This playoffs seems to be disproving the NBA truism that because the game slows down, you can’t win with running in the playoffs.
A little surprised that Pop is one of the overachievers since the Spurs often lost as favorites, though the rest of the list makes a lot of sense. Shai vs Hali feels like the modern day version of MJ vs Magic.
Usage rate and expected wins analysis are pretty awesome. Thanks for shedding some light on that. Pretty incredible how high SGA's usage rate is historically and how good his efficiency is at the same time.
Donovan Mitchell: we out feeted Shai too
incredible

Great work, keep it up.

The Pacers’ usage spread is so tight… Wow.
It would be interesting to see a list of teams with a usage spread like the Pacers ranked by regular season wins.
